Reo Pākeha:
Te Papa is seeking a Learning Specialist Assistant Kaupapa Māori on a Fixed Term Contract through to June 2026. This role will contribute to the delivery of our learning programmes for ākonga in English medium and Māori Medium contexts.
You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for the delivery of Māori Medium and English Medium programmes.
Training of programme delivery and working with young people will be provided.
About you:
You are passionate about learning and working with young people to make a real difference to the organisations and communities you work with. You are creative, innovative and confident in working with ākonga.
You will have:

- enjoy working with young people
- a passion for our museum
Fluency in Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori is essential.
This role is a full time 40 hours fixed term contract to June 2026 to help Te Papa deliver its learning programmes and serve our audiences. You will be supported by a mentor/tuakana. This is an ideal year-long experience or secondment.

The starting salary for this position will be between $54,624 to $64,865. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and internal relativities.
